Seriously though, clockwork metronomes are unbelievably handy for helping new musicians get to grips with timing. They watch the pendulum swing and are guided through the rhythm accordingly.

Sure you can get an app that goes click but it doesn't have the same impact as one of these.

This is especially handy for musicians on-the-go as it takes up hardly any space in a bag.

Solid quality. I used to have a much bigger version of this. This size is all I need. Somehow seeing the metronome move gives me a better sense time than just hearing the click.
