Ultimate VSIQ-200B

I bought the VS-88B bundled with the VSIQ-200B. Having used the excellent Ultimate Apex (with 3 tiers) for many years I thought this stand would be at least as good when I cut down to two keyboards.
Unfortunately this iwas not the case: there is so much lateral movement that it's almost impossible to play the top keyboard. I have a Korg Kronos 2 on the upper tier weighing 46lbs (well within the maximum recommended load of 50lbs). At the price, I was expecting a far more stable stand.
Additionally, the 200B does not fit in the bag supplied, and whilst the 88B folds down neatly to fit in the bag, with the clamps for the upper tier fitted, it won't fold down, so the clamps have to be removed every time and left loose in the bag. All in all, this was a very disappointing purchase.

In the realm of equipment whose primary role is to disappear while carrying the load, the Ultimate VSIQ-200B with a pair of support arms feels like a technical paradox: it is only noticeable when you deliberately try to challenge it. The construction is solid, the balance precise, and the sense of security remains constant even under maximum load.

From a rational standpoint, this is a product that successfully merges industrial reliability with thoughtful design. There are no unnecessary elements, no material compromises, and no fluctuations in stability. Everything feels engineered with a clear understanding of real-world working conditions rather than idealized laboratory scenarios.

In conclusion, the Ultimate VSIQ-200B is not visually spectacular, but it is behaviorally exceptional. And in the world of technical equipment, that is the highest form of quality: when you forget it’s there, because you trust it completely.
