I purchased a Fender '68 Custom Vibrolux that runs on the US 117V, and i can run the amp here (in Ireland) no problem thanks to this TAD transformer! I don't have a lot of experience in using transformers with amps, but I imagine a cheap and nasty transformer would not be ideal to run an amp off. Between ground hum, and the possibility of frying your amp, I'd definitely recommend getting something solid and reliable like this product!

Does the job!
Simple, efficient transformer. I am using it to power a US Fender Deluxe Reverb 110 volt in EU.

Just perfect.
I needed a step-down for a U.S. import Victoria 35310 Amp and I ordered this one from Thomann. It is a perfect neat size, not heavy, and is well built. I do not doubt that it will outlast me and my amp. I advise ordering this one - the 500VA - to use with just one amp, because using a tube amp requires some pull and push of electrons between the amp's internal transformers and the external supply such as this... it is best to have power available a little above the minimum required. This is a well-made and very reasonably priced device, if you need one, do not hesitate to buy it here.
