great buffer
Anonymous 13.04.2016
I have a lot of pedals and the diference between my guitar pluged directly into my amp (tele with a blues deluxe)and pluged trough my pedalboard into the amp is really huge....negatively huge...the tone suck with the pedals was just too big...high freq cut, muddy bass freq, and dull overall sound. the cables i use are not the best but they are not the cheapest, but too many true bypass pedals and cable lenght have thier consequences...that was good enough for me to get a buffer and i got it...this little and not so expensive thing was the perfect solution for my problem...no tone suck, high's are back, the tone is clear and sparkly and no noise added. It's really small, ultra simple, 9v dc...excellent!

If like me you are running quite a lot of true bypass pedals then you really do need a buffer. I refused to believe it until I did the test. After hooking up the BonaFide buffer the highs in my sound returned. It's a great size and very sturdy.

Good Clear Tone
ChrisF62 12.09.2025
I put one toward the front of my signal chain and one at the very end. The difference in tone and clarity is night and day. I've got an old school love for a real pedalboard and I can easily connect mine to an effects loop on my Helix Floor. Adding a noise gate directly behind the effects loop makes pairing old and new like finding the Stairway To Heaven. Rock on!!

Its my first buffer pedal, and I'm satisfied with it! :)
I can't compare it to other pedals in the same catregory, but I own a lot of TC Electronics pedals and I'm vey happy with their quality and sound.

Pointless

When I bought this device, I did not know that in every Tc electric pedal, a buffer is already installed. Buy tc electronic PolyTune 3 or Hall of fame or Flashback they all have a great buffer, I have all these great appliances. And there is no need to waste money on this buffer.
I bought it for 57 €, now it already costs 38 €, it's a shame that I overpaid for it and it was not useful to me at all.
Wish everyone well, and always think before you buy something

It works!

Using many pedals? Not always on but bypassing them? Then you can’t avoid a buffer. This buffer! Only one feature a star less. It has a very strong blue light signalling it’s on (as if you wouldn’t notice by listening) so you need much tape to dim it.

Superb!

Well worth putting at the front of your signal chain for an extra tone boost. A very simple way to get the best of your guitar's tone.

Useless waste of money
lonblu 14.12.2022
I was led to try this to reduce the noise to a Marshall Code amp, and never heard any improvement, sometimes even creating further noise, whether in TrueBypass or plugged. I also tried the Rockboard buffer, which has no TB, and isn't better than this one.
