A Must-Have for Quick Changeovers
As a drummer who's on the road almost every consecutive week of the year, the ability to change a stage over quickly and efficiently is imperative. These little guys allow for the fastest changeovers possible, especially in drum-sharing situations where you just need to get your cymbals off and get off the stage asap.
I've personally had very few problems with these brackets, and if I did it was usually someone else's fault. I wouldn't trust them 100% to hold the weight of a cymbal when carrying a stand sideways off a stage, but I've never had one fall off personally in similar situations.
It should be noted that these will not work on EVERY single cymbal stand. Some diameters are just too thin, but these are threaded and can usually be tightened down onto the ones that they do fit on.
Pros:
- Affordable
- Amount of time saved on set up and tear down in great
- Sturdy and work on most cymbal stands
Cons:
- Unfortunately not made for ALL cymbal stands
- Can slide (rarely) in some high stress situations
- Easy to lose
If you're a drummer that's frequently on the road, these are essential.

Good grip
I quite like them, but depending on how the cymbal sleeve sits underneath, it won't go on the correct way up. I fit them upside down and that works fine. I don't crash like a death metal drummer, but we play heavy music.

Must have for live gigging drummers
Often when I play live, there is so little time for setup. These things really save a lot of time cause you dont have to stand there screwing everything in place. But becareful cause they are definitely not universal. They won't fit some stands, but fit most.

Makes things easy
If you, like me, dislike the thought of manual labour such as screwing and unscrewing wing-nuts from the top of your cymbal stands. Then you need these, Tama QC8 Quick Set Cymbal Mates. With a small flex of your thumb and index finger, you will have your cymbals secured to your stands in seconds. Cut down your time to set up and break down your kit for your busy gigging schedule by upto 30 SECONDS!

Practical
Good ease of use and quality material. Unfortunately inner diameter does not fit all standard holders.

Convenient, sturdy, well designed.
I've been a fan of the older Sonor cymbal clamps for years, but after 20 years some need replacing. I recently bought a Tama stand that had one of these clamps and I love it, so I ordered four more from Thomann.
They can easily be clipped on or off with one hand in one second, and the thread grips the stand much better than my old ones. Once clipped on, you can still turn the clamp to adjust the tension. There's a nice design feature where one side is flat and the other has a small raised ring which fits inside the cymbal felt - so if you flip the clamp over it holds the felt in place more firmly. And the overall round shape let's the cymbal move more evenly than a wing nut.
Good design, well made, saves time, does the job. All good.

Easy, cheap & efficient
These winglocks make setting up and breaking down your drums much easyer. And unlike similar systems from other brands, these are much more affordable. It's the small things that make our lives easyer ;)
