TA2400
At first i was worried this amp would be one of those budget line amps which would get hot at the turn of the power switch but when i recieved the package, installed it in my rack and tested it at 8ohm per channel on two pd1550's i knew from the pressure levels coming through the driver and the constant cool air flow entering and exciting the back, that this amp would be a front runner compared to other amp's around this price range.
on the second test I put in a pair of Colossus 15xb & PD1550 through 4ohm per side, each driver sounded beautiful and pushing the amp hard, it produced a great amount of sub, the amp ran cool for hours.
I've recently ordered a proline to take care of these two drivers as I am happy the ta2400 will run anything less powerful that the two above drivers with no sweat at all.
Real good price, Real stable amp, My rack will be seeing more of these baby's in the near future

Old-school muscle – Unbeatable raw power for the price
For me, I prioritize performance and reliability over marketing hype. My journey with the TA 2400 MK-X had a rough start—I initially ordered a B-Stock unit that arrived DOA. However, knowing the reputation and speccs for this "classic" design of amp, I didn't hesitate to order a brand-new unit, and I’m glad I did.
This amplifier is built the "old-school" way. It’s heavy (nearly 20kg) and houses a massive toroidal transformer, which is exactly what you want when driving subwoofers. Unlike some modern, lightweight Class D amps that struggle with low-frequency transients, the TA 2400 provides the raw current and headroom needed to keep the low-end tight and authoritative.
I am currently using it to power two subwoofers, and the performance is outstanding. It doesn't break a sweat, even during long sessions at high volumes. The cooling system is effective, and the build quality is tank-like. Yes, it’s heavy, but that weight translates into a power supply that won't fail you when the bass hits hard.
You also must be aware of its physical dimensions. This unit is exceptionally deep. Including the two metal protection tabs at the rear, it reaches a total depth of 475mm. This is a significant footprint that will not fit in standard shallow or "short" racks. You must ensure your rack case has enough clearance for both the unit and the cable connectors, otherwise, you risk damaging your wiring or the ports.
If you are looking for a high-performance power amp with an incredible price-to-quality ratio and you don't mind the weight, this is a legendary workhorse. Powerful, and reliable.

Experience from 3 years of use.
This is a good amplifier with tons of power with small price.
I purchased this 3 years ago.
About the quality:
At first our unit suffered from broken channel.
This was quicly repaired with the Thomann warranty.
(This problem occured only after few weeks of use).
After the warranty repair I have had 3 happy year with this amp.
No problems. Just pure power.
The unit has been in very heavy use at the rehearsal rooms aswell as on the road in live shows.
Despite of the initial problems and the warranty repair I can recommend this amp strongly.
Enough that I am now considering to buy a second similar amp so that I dont need to take this away from the rehearal room when we have live shows.
We have also a smaller t.Amp amplifier for our live monitor amplification that has also worked fine for us.

Great quality for a decent price.
We have used this amp for our backline speakers for years now and it just works every time. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another if this one stopped working but this amp owes us nothing for the length of service it has given us.

a very real and affordable!!! pa-amp.
everything you can ask for in an amp.
does evrething- and under any condition- its description pretends.
obviously i cant enter in comparisions to other hi-class (and hi-priced) "super-brands", but what i can and will is recommend the ta2400mk-x to every other "non-profeteer".

good ratio amplifier
I have used now for 3-4 years this amplifier, it sound good, I can use them up to 10 hours on clip with no problems, they do get hot but they work like the day I bought them, the single thing that I don't like is the weight, they are pretty heaavy, but I sure made a lot of monney renting them out, I have 3 amplifiers not a problem in 4 years.

TA2400 MK-X old school reliability
i have used this model of amplifier in several bands over the years, usually on subwoofer duties, it is a beast of an amp, especially for its price tag, its built very solidly, bulletproof operation, 4 ohm per side stable at 1200 watts per side.
normal use for me has been with a pair of 8 ohm subs (650 watts per side) which supplies some nice pounding sub bass, have used it doubled up on each channel with 2 subs on each channel pushing the full 1200 watts a side, A BEAST!
In my last band we used 2 of these monsters, all channels on 8 ohm subwoofer loads, 2600 true watts of sub, with headroom to turn up more if we wanted.
only 1 downside to these amps, they are heavy!, but at the price tag they represent fantastic value for money.
in my time playing with different bands i have seen these in use many times, everyone i have spoke to about this product says how good and reliable they are, ive only ever experienced 1 fault occur in over 6 years of using these amps, the amp in question was long out of guarentee and was repaired locally for around £40

Built like a tank!!
I use it to amplify a single 15" diy subwoofer (40-90Hz), bridged @8Ohms.
Sounds really nice!!! The amp is heavy but to move low frequency drivers this weight is justified unless you want to spend >2000 EUR for a high range amp.
Pros : power, build quality (sturdy to say the least...), sound quality for lows, price!
Cons : bridge on binding posts, could be nice to have it on one Speakon. Input sensitivity 0,775V only, be careful to tune your mixer right to avoid clip. But keep in mind these are minors issues considering the price!!
Overall a very good amp, Thomann delivery and service 5 stars

Good sound but not strong
I had two of these amps and realized one has given up and smoked during show. now I use it for small passive amps. Get something bigger if you need high sound levels

Heavy! but it works.
We used this to power various setups. It works, sound quality is good (there is better but I the price makes it ok). These amp's are heavy though! After 2 years of heavy use the sound quality did go down a little though. Bass frequencies were lacking the tightness they used to have and it seemed to need more signal to produce the same levels it once did. We ended up retiring this amp from front of house and use it for powering monitors and its still fine fot that purpose. A good buy for anyone looking for a quality starter amp or even a professional looking for a usable backup without breaking the bank.
