Pros and cons with the Seymour Duncan Apollo Jazz pickups...
Roger Hedin 16.11.2025
I REALLY like:
1 - the tone: a beefier version of the classic J, more bottom without sacrificing the original tone,
2 - the fact that the pole pieces are grounded: no finger buzz,
3 - they look like original (when the logo is worn out).
I REALLY dislike:
1 - the stupidly short cables, making them impossible to connect to anything other than an original V-V-T setup. I had to lengthen them two inches to use with the ObsidianWire harness. Making the solderless setup need soldering.
Hadn't it been for the stupidly and miserly short cables I'd given them full pot. Now I just give them four stars.
