Very big problems with the actual OS, crackles, pops and clicks from the effects section, no midi transport with Local Control OFF in Ableton, sequencer. Completely unusable in Ableton Live 10. When I switch a preset with a Program Change command from a DAW the Pro 3 goes nuts. The sequencer in Pro 3 starts blinking like a christmas tree on crack and some crazy noises comes from the instrument. Sometimes it just freezes up completely. This happens every time when a preset have the Pro 3 sequencer running notes or automation automatically. A lot of firmware issues also some people experienced hardware issues with the cutoff knob and pitch wheel, check the forum.sequential.com if you want more info.
Sorry but I don't recommend it, I'm returning mine this is my first and last Sequential.

Use it in every project
I was torn between either getting a Moog Sub37 or PRO3, but at the end of the day PRO3 now sits in the studio as one of the main synths.
The main thing i love about PRO3 is the tuned feedback module! Absolutely stunning and gnarly. And you can route external audio to it as well. So for weird and heavy bass sounds or even leads, it's perfect!
And for warm analog sounding stuff it pulls it off extremely well, for simple warm synth bass you can just have 1 saw osc , record some audio in the project while jamming with the filter cutoff (amazing filters btw) and then i use Fairfield Circuitry's Shallow water on top of it. You instantly get something warm and soulful.
Easy to use, not too much menu diving needed, can do simple stuff really well and you can go pretty crazy with the sound design stuff as well.
My only 2 cons are
1) I don't really find myself using the sequencer a lot (compared to Arturia minifreak's sequencer, which is hella fun)
2) The built in effects(reverb, delay etc) don't really impress me much. Compared to Novation Summit or even the Arturia Minifreak, which have amazing sounding fx, the PRO3 usually gets sampled to audio in dry, and the fx come from either DAW or pedal's afterwards.
But all in all, an amazing piece of gear to have in your everyday arsenal.

One of the best synths I owned
Love this synth, it delivers that Sequential sound for lower price.
Amazing arp and sequencer.
Only minus points that I have is the plastic on the sides which can give a cheap kind of look, but not a biggie.
And the paraphonic is not always working as expected. That's understandable considering the fact that it's a mono synth. But other than that it's a great synth for my studio.

Expérience catastrophique avec le service client France
Super synthé rien à dire.
Par contre : synthé immobilisé pendant 6 mois avec 3 retours au SAV, dès le début c'est mal parti. Leurs processes internes ne marchent pas et ne sont pas structurés, ils ont des équipes délocalisées en Europe sans siège. Il n'y a aucun historique des échanges dans les temps avec le service client, donc aucun suivi, et il faut rééxpliquer du début à chaque fois.
De plus, ils semblent motivés / incentivés financièrement par un ratio de moindre retour possible des clients, donc il utiliseront toutes les techniques dilatoires bien connues pour vous décourager au début.
La plupart des membres du service client savent à peine ce qu'est un synthé, ce qui est assez triste pour une entreprise de passion comme Thomann.
Echanges stériles par email, ensuite la procédure de renvoi est très longue et fastidieuse par email, il a fallu envoyer 10 fois les mêmes photos/vidéos + téléphone au moins 15 fois sur 6 mois.
Résultat : impossible d'utiliser une pièce maitresse de mon studio.
Comme si ça ne suffisait pas, le réparateur officiel de Sequential ou Thomann ou le transporteur a semble-t-il fortement endommagé l'extérieur du synthé sur le chemin du retour, ce qui a rallongé une nouvelle fois les délais.
Des délais par ailleurs interminables, chaque procédure de renvoi a pris 7-8 semaines ce qui est le double de ce qui était annoncé.
Pour finir le "petit chefaillon" du service client France a pris mon appel avec agressivité, digne d'une racaille avec un fort accent blédard, ne connaissait ni le droit allemand ni européen - bref la nouvelle France à pas cher ... Décevant de la part d'une marque allemande réputée et ancienne.
Ne vous laissez pas impressionner, ils vous diront de mauvaise foi qu'ils n'ont pas à vous échanger le produit, ce qui est bien évidemment faux.
Finalement ils ont remplacé mon appareil, car je connais bien le droit et je ne les ai pas lâchés.
Je ne commanderai plus jamais de synthés chez eux, après avoir dépensé pourtant 10k EUR chez eux.
Pour le petit matos ça passe, mais pour des synthés, c'est la roulette russe.

What a synth!
I spent the first hour just dialing through presets and found so much variety, far more than I had initially expected.
When I came to create my first patch I had something exciting and inspiring within minutes and then lost another hour to playing and tweaking.
Having watched reviews and tutorials, I had a fair idea what to expect but honestly, this thing is so much better than that. If you get a chance to try it, do so but beware, your wallet might end up somewhat lighter!
Awesome job by the team at Sequential, I'm pretty sure this is set to become a modern classic.
