Everything you need for a kick mic
One of my 2 go-to's for a kick mic, either as a "kick-out" or as a standalone solution. Nice size, gets plenty of sub considering. Have also used on floor tom, and on bass instruments with great results.
Compact, sleek but rugged design, and a little warmer than the 600 series.
I often have an "A" and "B" kit on festival shows, and I like to use this on modern kits alongside a 901.
Rider friendly enough, with many guest/touring engineers being quite the fans of the 900 series.
An excellent alternative to the Shure beta52a, and versatile enough to not be strictly a kick drum mic.
Would recommend.

All about the bass
After using a set of Samson mics I decided it was time for an upgrade. Having been in a local recording studio which uses the E902 (among others) I had had some experience with the mic itself.
After connecting this up in my home studio the difference between my old and this is immense. The lack of spill it picks up and the clarity has made me want to use it over any other.
Using this on the reso head to the bass with the E901 inside gives a really nice balance between attack and bass resonance.
I would recommend this mic to anyone and everyone.

Best kick mic
This mic is amazing! like all of the Evolution series of mics from sennheiser. It's really precise if you use it has kick in and it will give a lot of body if you use it on the edge of the drum with a kick port.
It's smaller than a beta 52 and the mic tread is better than that from Shure as it's smaller but the XLR comes out of the back of the mic and not near the mic tread like on the 52.

Great microphone!
I compared it to Shure Beta 52a and this sennheiser e902 is on another level. Makes Beta sound like hitting cardboard.
Almost no coloring required, but with coloring it is perfect!
For live and studio application. For this money you cant buy better.

Best used for Rock or funk, well balanced sound if you need to use it for other music styles with a bit of EQ you can get to the needed sound.

Sennheizer E902 Zeer goede kwaliteit
