Cette pique remplace le bouton d'un violoncelle 3/4 baroque. La tige tubulaire en acier et le cône en bois dur donnent toute satisfaction au jeu puisque l'instrument est relativement léger. Cependant je conseillerais une tige en acier plein pour un modèle plus grand (7/8 ème et 4/4) afin d'affirmer la stabilité de l'instrument.

Die Birne macht einen insgesamt passablen, zweckmäßigen Eindruck in der Verarbeitung.

Die Stachelspitze ist sehr scharf ausgeführt und könnte aus Sicherheitsgründen etwas stärker abgerundet sein. Die Führung des Stachels erfolgt unten über eine Kunststoffbuchse und im oberen Bereich über eine Art Kork-Gummi-Buchse. Diese Kombination sorgt für eine sehr gute Dämpfung: Der Stachel klappert nicht und lässt sich angenehm leicht sowie gleichmäßig ein- und ausfahren.
