Quality, simplicity, connectivity

The QSC KC 12 is an active three-way loudspeaker combining a 12" subwoofer, two 4" midrange drivers, and a 1" compression driver in a modular column array system. At its core is QSC's patented LEAF waveguide – first deployed in the company's L-Class line-array systems – delivering 145° horizontal and 35° vertical coverage with controlled, uniform dispersion across the full listening area. The system delivers 3000W total output, split between 2000W for the subwoofer and 1000W for the mid/high section. Unlike many column systems optimised primarily for appearance, the KC 12 treats acoustic performance and aesthetic refinement as equal priorities – with QSC's LEAF technology fundamental to the former.

A professional problem-solver...

The QSC KC 12 operates as an active system with a Class D power amplifier and offers three input options: a low-latency TWS Bluetooth connection combined with a 3.5mm stereo TRS jack, plus two XLR combo sockets – one Mic/Line/Hi-Z and one Mic/Line/+48V – each with independently assignable presets for their respective channels. On the rear panel, a multifunctional digital display manages sound output and system functions including global parametric EQ, subwoofer level, and room effects. All parameters are also accessible remotely via QSC's Loudspeaker Control app.

...for elegant events

The QSC KC 12 is designed for private functions, corporate events, and working DJs who need professional sound quality and flexible deployment in a single self-contained unit. The system operates with or without the pole mount, allowing placement on the floor, a stage riser, or directly on stage, with adjustable distance between the subwoofer and the satellite column. This makes it a practical solution for solo entertainers, musicians, bands, MCs, and AV productions alike. Bluetooth connectivity accepts virtually any audio source – including smartphone streaming – without additional hardware.

About QSC

QSC was founded in California in 1968 and has since established itself as a global leader in the design and manufacture of professional audio system solutions. At QSC, everything - power amplifiers, loudspeakers, digital signal processing (DSP) and digital mixing consoles – is developed under the one roof. This results in products and systems whose features are perfectly matched to one another. QSC's expertise is also evident in its state-of-the-art production technology and quality control. Its products are manufactured both in China and in QSC's own facility, which covers more than 7,500 square meters in Costa Mesa, California.

QSC LEAF Waveguide

QSC's LEAF waveguide (Length-Equalised Acoustic Flare) delivers uniform, controlled coverage of 145° horizontally and 35° vertically – this ensures consistent throw across the listening area, maintaining even levels and tonal balance from front to back and across the audience. The patented technology produces a wide, highly transparent sound field – first deployed in QSC's L-Class line-array speakers and now implemented in column systems such as the KC 12. The waveguide functions as an acoustic impedance adaptor: The high impedance of the compression driver's exit is precisely matched to the low acoustic impedance of the external air load. This improves driver efficiency under acoustic load, enabling low crossover frequencies and supporting the high headroom and controlled directivity the system is designed to achieve. At low frequencies, wavelengths are large enough that the subwoofer radiates effectively as a point source, operating independently of the waveguide's directional behaviour.
