Build like a tank - just make sure its big enough for you.
Anonymous 10.01.2017
Spent a couple of months on pedalboardplanner.com trying to decide on which model to get.

Initially I ordered a Pedaltrain Classic PRO SC with a softcase - but I returned this. Decided that risking

expensive pedals isnt worth it and hardcase was the way to go.

I also felt this size board was pretty large and might be a tight squeeze on small stages, and a much bigger hard

case size for my trolley. I'm not so sure I made the correct decision on this front.

I own a Strymon Mobius & Big Sky along with a MoogerFooger MidiMurf and even with just 3 pedals on the boards

things get pretty cramped pretty quick.

The MoogerFooger is also a tall pedal and really compresses the foam when place at the top of the board in the

case, so for me lower down the board is a much better option which further limits your pedal layout.

Hard case and board build quality are really excellent no complaints there. Included velcro does the job no hassle

as well.

If most of your pedals are boss single stomp style then this board is great and roomy. If you have a few bigger

items just double think your requirements so you don't end up needing a larger board in the end.

S
Really good board
SydScarlet 10.12.2019
I've had various boards across the years and this one has been great so far.
I'm not going to lie, it is overpriced (hence the 4/5, nothing to do with Thomann, it's the brand that is expensive) BUT the board itself is pretty much indestructible while being very light and well conceived with a slight elevation allowing you to mount your power supply (you will need a drill or strong arms) and run cables underneath.

The case is good and tough, it's heavy obviously, but it's already been on several tours, back of vans and 2 planes (even though I had it in a large luggage for extra protection) and so far no signs of weakness.
I had a larger version before (I think the 32) and it seemed less resistant due to its size, particularly where the handle was because of the weight when lifted with the structure and materials being the same, this one feels more sturdy.

I would definitely recommend it for touring musicians and people playing on stage regularly.
If you only play at home there's absolutely no need to spend that kind of money on a board, there are way cheaper options out there.
Lastly if you walk or take public transport to your rehearsal space, this won't be the most convenient option as it gets pretty heavy when loaded with pedals and you add the 6kg of case.

J
Sturdy & Functional
JuanitoY 25.11.2020
It's my first time to build a board as i'm more of a multi-effects guy. and this was my first choice based on reviews.

The Travel Case is very durable, slick and and lightweight. Interior is well padded but not very snug with the board (could be intentional to give room for the hands to pull the board)

Novo 24 came with all essential accessories to start building the board (more than enough velcro & zip ties) NOt a big fun of the rail design but it serves its purpose to have flexibilty in routing cables and to keep the weight light but because of the odd spacing , it was challenging to position some odd sized pedals.

But overall I'm very satisfied with the product.

Worth every penny!

The case is strong and the pedal board itself is extremely lightweight.

Size you choose will obviously vary depending on your requirements, but i think the 24 inch is a great size.

The velcro tape could be better i suppose - the pedals still move a bit when you apply some force - but still good.

Slightly on the heavier side when carrying the pedals around since the case is quite heavy - but considering the quality and how robust it is, it is totally acceptable.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

P
Fabulous. Except for the velcro
Peter5780 26.11.2015
In my opinion there is only one thing letting this product down, the Velcro that comes with it. It just didn't stick to the base very well so once you have your pedals on the pedaltrain you can't move them without the the whole lot coming away whatever side you stick to the pedal board just comes off, it might just have been the bit that came with mine, it did look like the end of a roll! However I had some stickier stuff already and that did the trick.
Other than that it's a fantasiic bit of kit. I have 4 boss sized pedals and an electric mistress in a row with plenty of room between, (big feet ), and above that plenty of room for double sized pedals, power supply and a G50 receiver. You can fit the power supply underneath with a small mod if you want.
Unless you and a couple of mates jump up and down partying on the pedaltrain it will give years of good service, it's very good quality.
The flight case is very sturdy and well built and looks great. its a great way to transport your gear around safely.
Highly recommend.

The go to solution for pedalboards
mbauwens 16.08.2017
This is my second pedaltrain I have bought and I bought it without hesitation since I already knew it would be very road-ready and sturdy. The board is easy to use and offers enough space for quite some pedals. The foam inside the case is flexible enough so you can add bigger/'higher' pedals inside. The only downside is that this size of the case does not come with wheels - the board (with pedals) and case together can get quite heavy. Other than that: great unit!

B
great mid-size board
Belgian 12.08.2019
I use this board at home, practice, and gigs.
First of all, the build quality on both the board and the case is impeccable. The board is made of aluminium, so it's very light AND very sturdy, definitely road-ready! The case is padded with foam to press the board into place so it or the pedals on it won't move or be damaged in transport.
The board is a medium size, I would say you could fit about 12 normal sized pedals on there, or 10 + wah.
One of the main features of this board is the spacing. The gaps are extra small to be able to put modern, 'mini' pedals on the board. Even if you don't use 'mini' pedals, the spacing gives you more contact area between the board and the pedals, which is nice.

Also fits most standard power supply bricks underneath.

Built like a house
Rays 12.01.2021
This is just a very firm, strong and sturdy case. I'm not worried about anything that's in this case when I'm playing gigs or when I'm on the road. When you pick this case up, you know you're picking up quality. A bit heavy, but you know this guarantees reliable protection. The soft padding on the inside provides a soft cushion for everything that's inside. Quality product!
