I do not have too much experience with this instrument, but I can say it sounds well in recordings, also as a shaker. I can say is good for sound design as well as the classical way of using it. I love it

Nice looking instrument, cheap, nice and robust, sounds ok but does not last very long and is nigh on impossible to get a continuous sound from - you will need another one so you can stagger the turn to get a continuous rainstorm

Pearl Bamboo Rainstick - African rain. The sound is pleasant and soothing during healing. It just requires learning the technique of using this instrument, as you have to learn to move it harmoniously.

Très satisfait de ce bâton de pluie, le son est vraiment plaisant et apaisant. On peut aussi l'utiliser comme shaker. Cette taille est un parfait équilibre entre contrôle du son et praticité.
