Fine for my (unusual) need
I bought this sound post as a temporary solution for a sinking top on my archtop guitar (1961 ES-175D) where the bracing is no longer solid .I trimmed the post down to the right size easily and positioned a length just beneath either side of the bridge, whilst applying upward pressure to the top with an adjustable clamp. The guitar top is now at a good height and the braces will be examined by my luthier once we have had an opportunity to get together. Whilst the guitar is essentially an electric guitar i've noted an increase to the quality of its acoustic sound since installing the posts - which I imagine is due to an increase to the vibrations transmitted from the bridge through the top to the back via the soundposts. I quite like the change and it has had no effect on my electric playing except perhaps to reduce the risk of feedback. I will discuss with my luthier whether he thinks ther are any advantages or disadvantages in keeping the posts in place once he has repaired/reinforced the top bracing.

Guter Stimmstock
Kurzum in Sachen Qualität und Maßerung genau so wie man sich einen ordentlichen Stimmtock vorstellt. Klangeinfluss ist auch genau so wie er soll.
