Superb mid-range electric cello

NS Design make great electric cellos. The NXT series are their lower end tier, but with the same comfortable ergonomics like the CR.

Sounds quality is quite fantastic for the price, with great bow response at any volume set via the dedicated knob. However, when the treble knob is set at the highest level, there's definitely some hissing and something that sounds like clipped highs when playing high on the A string. At the other end, no treble results in a muddy sound for my taste. Solution is simple: find a balance somewhere at 80-90% (the treble increase is definitely not linear).

For picking, the second pickup position is frankly incredible. This cello sounds worlds better than most of my guitars. Clean patches on my Axe Fx sound incredible.

If distortion is desired, you can make it happen with the appropriate effects, and while it may sound a bit too thick or noisy for my taste, it's manageable.

I'm a beginner in learning cello, just doing self study. I have an acoustic cello and wanted to explore the world of electric cello, its a totally different experience, nxt is an excellent instrument... wouldve been 5 stars if only the accessories are more reasonable in its price.

Les+ design impeccable encombrement minimum possibilites de son infinies avec ajout de pedales. Pas de larsen .Enfin de la mobilite grace au strap qui permet de jouer debout comme un cello ou une basse. Housse bien etudiee. Pied stable. Pas de piles.
Les - lourd a jouer avec le strap . le son sans disto ou amplification n apporte rien de plus qu un cello basique et il manque la richesse des harmoniques du bois . En silent oui jouer au casque est plus silencieux qu une sourdine sur un acoustique. Les points de position sur la touche n apportent rien. Se raye facilement. La pique est hors de prix et devrait etre fournie avec. Prix eleve compte tenu qu il n y a pas d accessoires comme la pique ou l archet.
