Expensive yes ;- but you won't be disappointed.

This is a great bass ;- firstly the weight is just right without compromising on quality . And compared to other basses I have from the 70's and 80's (they weigh a ton!) this is a joy. Great sound too, with many sound choices depending on choice of pickup configuration. Lastly the burnt maple neck feels great in one's hand. I haven't stopped playing it since I've had it.
Yes they are not cheap--but you won't be disappointed with paying the extra.
