Great practice/rehearsal/small gig tool!
mariosyjp 13.01.2021
The Good.
Sounds BIG, like there's a real amp in the room.
Feels VERY solid and well made (knobs, handle, everything)
Probably loud enough for any situation (small rehearsal without PA, any gig with PA as monitor, small bar gig without PA)
Super easy to understand and use, there is a reason they do not provide a printed manual (although I wish they did).
Bluetooth, drum machine and looper: great tools for practice (these were the main selling points for me)
Wireless 4 button footswitch included (!).
All features are accessible from the amp's control panel, no need to connect your phone or computer.

The Bad.
Amp models sound a bit cold sometimes, it lacks the feel of a tube amp (obviously it isn't one, but lacks the feel more so than other modelers I think)
Although the models are much more accurate than my previous practice amp (Vox VTX) there's something missing in how they feel.
No amp cab options, they are fixed for each amp model.
Amp models are a curious selection, not everyone's cup of tea. There are enough high gain models, probably enough clean ones too. However not much going on in between.
I think the only marshall modeled is the JCM 900.
The footswitch has 4 led's, one on top of each switch. However you can have them either all light up at the same time, or off. It is weird that it doesn't light up based on which switch you have pressed. You can only know which preset you are on by looking at the amp.

Effects
Decent reverbs, modulations.
Great tape delay.
Good sounding boost pedals (TS, blues driver)

I hope this helps someone looking for a modeling amp!

I intend to use it mostly for home/practice, and once in a while for rehearsal at a friend's home studio.
Maybe also for a small bar gig where stage space is too limited to have amp + pedals.

Stopped working. Will not turn on.

This amp worked well initially. It stopped working after just over a year. There is no main power. I have checked the plug fuse and this is OK. It must be a fuse in the amp. I am not happy with returning this because of the weight. I have no idea what to do.

Very high quality. Very loud sound. Lots of possibility. You can get a little lost, but those who specialize, will enjoy it. Very nice sound, a little less quality than the good ones. But well worth the money.

Pretty good.

Very complicated for me, but I'm 75 yrs, all the buttons, then 2 buttons together for this'n that, then refer to the screen, reading glasses, etc
So 3 days on my kitchen table, just for the basics.
BUT! THE PRESETS ARE VERY NICE, and with a little adjustment, kick out reverb and echoes, are my desirable, sounding very professional in every way.
I use the looper on solo gigs, use the drum machine rarely, even though there's "syncro start" built in, easy to use with the "wireless foot switch" which does well (a moments delay maybe).
All told, the machine is certainly gigable, plenty loud, looks and feels good quality, knobs and buttons all feel and do their duties very well.
One complaint only, the mains lead is only 1 meter long.
I wander, if I store it, in 29yrs, can I blow the dust off and plug it in for a gig?
PS: After rehearsing with this for a week, I find it much too "fiddly". 2 buttons here 1 botton there, the looper and drum machine get messed up together and the preset volumes fade on return to them, having to simply "touch" gain/volume to regain the setting at every button or pedal change.
So I return it ...

DH
No clean sound
Dr. Hest 14.10.2025
Essentially a good amplifier with an abundance of sounds and possibilities; however, its principal shortcoming lies in its inability to faithfully reproduce a pure guitar tone — something one occasionally longs for. I find that it is capable of far too much, yet fails to master the simplest of virtues, even though achieving a warm and unadulterated guitar sound can indeed be a demanding endeavour.

Excellent amplifier - very low price
CYPRUS 12.01.2026
I had recently bought two Mooer SD 30 Modellings from Thomann. I had chosen the small size, one to be easy to transport and the other to not take up too much space in the living room. I liked them a lot, because of the options for the basic effects, but mainly for the amplifier options. So I decided to order a Mooer SD 75 Modelling as well, which has a much better sound due to the 12-inch speaker (compared to the 8-inch Mooer SD 30), but it is heavier. I highly recommend it.

Excellent modelling amp
Davono 30.06.2022
So, it looks well, the models sound great, the pedal is responsive, post eq is excellent, makes a great Bluetooth speaker, and is easy to figure out. Can not go wrong with this. And it's loud enough to keep into a drum kit.
