Mooer GTRS Guitars Standard 800 MR

Let me start by saying that this is a well made, quality guitar, easily worth it's purchase price purely as a standard guitar. The roasted maple neck is smooth and fast, the frets were problems free, the pickups are good, although the single coils are a little underpowered compared to my other guitars. But of course the main selling point is the GTRS modelling, amps and effects and here I think Mooer do an incredible job. The app is a bit fiddly, and perhaps the whole system could have done with being trimmed down and simplified a bit, but maybe that's just me. The selection of modelled guitars is excellent, with signature characteristics of each model immediately apparent. The vast range of amps, cabinets and effects can be daunting, but if you know what you want (or have plenty of time to experiment) you can programme in great sounds, ready to use anywhere, any time. I bought the bluetooth pedal along with the guitar and it really is a must. Apart from greatly increasing the number of presets you can access live, the looper and tuner are excellent, and once you set up your sounds you can forget about the fiddly app and just play. Being able to turn up with only this guitar and get your sound right away is a real treat, especially for live jams and travel. Well worth the money overall.

My wife bought me this guitar for christmas and genuinely it's the best present she's ever bought me in 20 years of marriage !
As a functional guitar it looks, feels and plays great. However, where it really excels is with special intelligent Mooer features button.
Honestly it's incredible ! it allows you to assign the 5 way switch to different types of guitar. Personally, I have it playing an acoustic guitar, stratocaster, telecaster, Jaguar and a 58 les paul and they are all really accurate sounding. So much so, that I've sold another stratocaster guitar, an SG and the telecaster that I previously owned !! because this guitar replicates all of them.
The tones on the inbuilt presets are also fantastic ! my favourite thing to do though is to access the 'cloud' feature in the associated app. In that section I can import other players IRLs that they have uploaded. Honestly it's never ending and the entire beautiful guitar is an absolute steal for under £300 !!!!!
