Incredibly comfy!
Young-Bin 23.04.2016
I came across this strap while looking for some good quality straps as I recently bought a Harley Benton JB75 (very good instrument btw) which is a very heavy Jazz Bass.
At first I was ready to spend maybe around 70-80 euros for a strap that could work BUT then I came across this one.

Not only is it extremely comfy and built to last, it is nearly half the price of all those other big brand stuff made out of leather.

The lovely thing about this strap is that it balances out the weight of the instrument very well which is very nice for long periods of playing and on stage.
It also has a bonus feature where you can slip a pick in a socket on the strap for easy and quick access.
The padding on this strap (as you can see at a glance) is BIG! So great relief for the shoulders!

I had this strap for about 2 weeks and I can see that it's very durable.

Get this strap if you have a weak shoulder and/or you have a very heavy guitar or bass.
Also if you have the money to buy very 70-80 euros straps, then rather get this one and save money and quality.

Thanks again Thomann for great service and great line up of products for us to purchase! :)

I'm sticking with it for sure!
Anonymous 11.02.2016
Bought this to replace my really wide leather strap that was sticking into my neck. I play bass slightly lower than in sitting position and the "Short" version is plenty long! Be sure to measure your old strap to choose between long and short versions!

Pros:
+ Doesn't get hot when you sweat on stage;
+ Doesn't stick to your shirt like leather does;
+ Distributes weight nicely (probably due to the memory foam) without being overly wide;
+ I dig the looks;
+ Looks like it can take a beating;
+ Leather free (good if you're a vegan);

Cons:
- Metal rings can damage your guitar's finish;
- Huge MONO logo;
- Ends made of really soft material, which makes them stick outwards when standing;

The metal rings did beat up the finish on my bass, because I put the bass in the gigbag with the strap on, so you might want to take it off. I play a neck-heavy 5-string bass and the strap helps greatly, it even seems to have alleviated my left shoulder pains!
All in all - highly recommended as an alternative to leather straps, and in my opinion - a better alternative!

It's too long
Redone1 18.03.2020
It's way too long even on the shortest setting if you like to wear your bass high.
You either need to be quite tall or like to wear your instrument lower to use this strap.
The quality seems great though.

EP
The Guitar Strap
Eray Polat 19.12.2021
I’ve been suffering from back pain for a while since playing a gig 2 times in a week. After a long research about straps, i decided to go for Mono. And result is great, no more pains!

Strap is strong and soft, so you don’t even feel it on your shoulder. That’s a very good thing if you play your guitar long hours while standing. I cannot imagine myself playing with another strap.

Be careful about the strap lenght before purchasing, there are 2 different lenghts.

This is the best strap that you can buy for the price; so comfortable and trustworthy. I totally recommend. Thanks a lot Mono!

Total disappointment
Grumpy Bassman 02.03.2024
I had other neoprene straps over the years, so I decided to buy the Mono's take. Everything's good with my 4.0 Solostrap Neo, but I wanted a narrower width and more ventilation (Solostrap can get hot). I also owned a 2.5 SoloStrap, but my 4.6-4.8 kg basses need a thicker strap.

I've made several attempts to like it, but I seem to hate this strap every time. Metal buckles that beat your instrument -- check. Length slipping off in unexpected moments -- check. Unstable construction that slips when you shift the instrument -- check, try shifting the neck and you'll hear and feel the buckles slipping. Weird industrial look with a huge screaming logo -- check.

In fact, I could live with all those if the strap was comfortable. For me it's not, it's cutting into my shoulder worse than a plain narrow nylon strap, ten minutes and I'm done. Maybe my instruments are heavier than the strap expects, IDK, but my other neoprene straps are much better. I've also tried a lighter instrument, my Strat is just 4kg and Solostrap Neo 2.5 works good on it. A wider Mono doesn't and gives me a shoulder pain.

My recommendation: don't waste your money on this strap. Get a Minotaur for half the price. Or the D'Addario Poly for a fraction of the price. Or get a Solostrap Neo if you want neoprene. They all are worth their money, but not the Mono strap.

Excellent strap for good money
Hyperborean 24.09.2020
I am using these straps on 2 of my basses and it's the most comfortable strap for me so far. Excellent built quality (you wouldn't expect anything else from Mono), the strap is well-padded and not too wide (which is the case with some leather straps for me). Just make sure that the short version will work for you - I am a smaller guy and I have my instrument relatively high, but for most bass players the length might be not enough.

Disappointed
Anonymous 28.02.2016
Strap is comfort once you brake it in. I have to say that strap is not very well made. Pick pocket fall off first day I got it, so I had to stitch it back myself. Other stitches on the strap are also badly made. :(

All around I'm not very satisfied with this strap.

Super comfrotrable
vukrogi 21.06.2018
I've wanted to compare this strap to gruvgear mono as i've seen numerous comparisons. All in all, it's quite similar in terms of comfort i'd say. No issues whatsoever. Only downside is that short version isn't really that short and you can't set it to chin -look at me i'm a jazz player height. not a huge issue since i don't play like that ; BUT, i've set it to the shortest possible length and it's the way i set all of my straps.

good strap, would buy again! remeber, folks, you only have one back and you need to take care of it. Health > guitars. this strap is a must!

Such a comfortable strap
JDeligero 21.05.2020
I spend about 4 hours on average playing the guitar. Either rehearsing or gigging. I tried this strap from one of my musician co-workers and wow it was so comfortable. This guitar strap is so high quality too. I can really think this strap can last me for the next 10 years!

One thing I do not like is that this strap cant go any shorter, so if you're like me and prefer to have your guitar up to you lower chest area this might let you down. However, I manage, this does not compromise my movement in either my fretting to strumming hand.

Best strap ever
StephDaBass 22.07.2021
It is the 2nd of these straps I ordered. The first one lasted over 5 years with almost daily use. Very robust, great build quality and very comfortable because of the wide and padded design. Only using those.
