Very basic bag for controlled transportation
Animale 15.08.2020
I bought the cheapest bongo bag for an expensive bongo.

Why: because I transport my stuff in a car, and I put this bag into another, bigger bag, seperated from other stuff.

So for me, this bag is just a wrap for my bongo when I pack it. If you're seriously looking for a bongo bag to protect your high-end bongo's, look for something else, with more padding.
Because this one is minimal.

For this price it's got almost everything (except a zipper pouch on the outside or inside, and it misses those minimal round plastic "legs" when you put it down)

This bag is also very usable to put all kinds of other stuff in it.
Despite of the minimal padding, it's sturdy enough, it's got a shoulder belt as well.

T
Size does not fit properly, much too big! Poor!!!
TrEr 02.02.2018
I purchased the "bongo set" including this gigbag. The bongos were fine but this gigbag is much too big for them. It is comparable to putting an electric guitar inside a gigbag designed for an acoustic guitar. Everything is shifting around inside. You might as well use a training bag or something.

The quality of the bag is ok for the price but not much more. Cheap thin quality and feels more like a shopping bag than a gigbag. Especially when putting the bongos inside. The difference in size makes the whole thing sag in a weird way and uncomfotable to carry.

Not recommended! The size of the bag is completely wrong. It's hard to understand how Thomann can sell this as a "set".

It's a bag and my bongos fit in it.

Obviously, this bag costs less than a tenner, so you can't expect a plush padded bag...

Things to note; well, it's pretty thin - no padding at all - and its huge! I've never come across a pair of bongos that would take up all of the space in there. I think the excess size may reduce the need for padding if you crumple the bag around the drums a bit in transit (yep, it's pretty much that big). That seems to have worked for me at any rate, as my bongos have never been damaged while they've been in this bag.

Despite being thin, it's a sturdy bag - I imagine it could easily cope with loads much, much heavier than a pair of bongos.

For less than a tenner you can't really go wrong!

K
poor quality even for an entry level
Kogor 17.02.2022
problems:
- skin is not even on the whole surface what influences the sound quality
- i had to adjust the drums myself but it did not make much improvement, sounds still poor
- the bag is WAAAYYYYYY TOOOOOOO BIIIIIIGGGGG. the bag is not made for this bongos. it is not convenient and uncomfortable.

overall quite a disappointment.

Practical, good value for money - great size!
AHS96 17.05.2025
First up - it's important you keep your expectations in check. It's a case that costs €13; don't expect anything in the way of thick padding, extra pockets or hard plastic reinforcements.
But with that out of the way, it's really a perfect case if you don't expect to be bumping it around too much.
Some reviews complain that it is 'too large'. While this is technically true (there is a LOT of dead space around the bongos), for me this is a huge advantage. I can fit a guiro, cowbell and claves in the same case - even my laptop too! You could also use the dead space to line the case with towels or foam if you're concerned about protecting your bongos better.
For someone who travels to gigs on public transport, a 'one case fits all' is perfect for me.

I'm not happy with the size
BobbyB 15.06.2020
The size of the bag is too big for the bongo set it was sold in a bundle with. I can fit two bongo sets in the same bag and there will still be space. The customer service adviced me to use "a cloth" to prevent it from moving too much while transportation. If I have to buy a blanket for my bangos I might as well buy a new bag....

Great for storing
László Demeter 29.05.2022
Storing instruments in Millenium soft cases are easily the most affordable choice. I carry my bongos around fairly rarely, and whenever I do, I am very careful with the handling. At this price point I’m a little worried about the quality so I just make sure the handling is as gentle as possible. I own a couple of Millenium soft cases from this price range, I had no trouble with them so far. If you are cereful with them they last for a long time too!

Great bag.

Not only fits my bongos, but a lot of my other percussion bits and bobs. Robust zipper and shoulder strap is sturdy too.

Good bag for the price, obviously nothing particularly amazing but it serves the role it was built for.

Excellent Price/Quality
Anonymous 27.03.2017
This bag is not expensive protection if you have paid for a quality set of bongos. It has enough padding to work, strong zips and although there is a little extra room with an 11" and 12" set you might find it useful for maybe wrapping around a towel or something for even extra protec, or for slipping in other items. Carrying strap really useful.
