Mike Balter ERSR Super Rub Mallet Set

I saw some videos of studio folk rubbing these on gongs and large drums to create horror movie atmosphere sounds. I don't have that at home. But I do have doors, windows, bathtub, kitchen floor, acoustic guitar, desk (didn't work on my dog). The sound these things make is mad, I love it. Don't tell your partner you have them and rub them on the outside of her bedroom door at 3 am.
I highly recommend them to everyone interested in sound effects and sound design. Experiment and have fun.

Superball effects are supercool, and these mallets gives you some option in playing those ghostly effect sounds by rubbing gongs and other stuff you find on your way.

As a gong player I can't get enough of friction mallets.
I do find that each friction mallet offers something different, and they quite often take some getting used to. At first I found these a little squeaky, but over time I got more and more familiar with them and now use them all the time. :-)

ill be honest I don't have experience with mallets to speak of, but they seemed good quality, gave a nice sound- and here you get a decent variety of different sizes, which produce a nice set of different colours on my gong.

I bought this for sound effect design. I did the job and fun. The total feel is good, but only 4 stars for quality is that I feel it can be break off in anytime...(Not yet for now)
