Basically the title says it all.
The bass frequencies roar and thunder. The low-mids are well pronounced and the sound is pretty full. The v30s famous mids are a bit buried down what helps the listener not get mad when playing, while the sound is enriched by the resonance within the cab.
The + and the - at the same time is that the speakers are soldered. If you want to replace them, you need to either resolder or install the spade connectors (which I did instead). I don’t buy the argument that soldering makes the connections more stable than when having the spade connectors instead. Those also won’t ever move away and are used in the Engl cabs. And even if you tour a lot, you still must check the impedance at least and you will certainly check that all speakers do actually work before your performance.
The 4x12 oversized sound is always the ultimate sound for a guitarist. No 2x12 ever compares to it, not even the vertical ones. I tried all, this is just not it. You can be happy with either, of course, but I tested all them and found myself having many 4x12 instead.
The Mesa, Engl and Orange cabs are the best.
