British recto?
I could say it's an improved version of the old Recto, which it is…kind of. But it's also much more - it can be a completely different amp. It's not a typical amplifier like we're used to from American 6L6 highgain amps. It has that British dirty character, which can probably be attributed to the EL34 tubes - but in a good way. If anyone is afraid that it won't be tight enough in the low end, as we've been used to with the old versions, don't worry - they've solved that perfectly with this version.
Clean channel is also very good. Very “mesa like” clean tone :) Or can I say, very american? Yes, probably :)
Considering I'm a fan of Mesa Boogie amps, but I was never a fan of the Rectifier line - I can say that I like this amp much better.
It's not perfect (Mark series user), but it's damn good sounding amp for sure.
