Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic bass.
On paper, for me, this is exactly what i was looking for feature wise and looks wise.
- Active with lots of options,
- comfortable neck,
- great finish (for the most part),
- a slap machine,
- AMAZING gig bag (please sell it separately, i would buy in an instant),
- a bit on the heavy side (cannot have everything).
- the strings although high quality were not for me, i use elixir coated ones so not used to these DRs

BUT, i tried to buy this one twice, and twice it came out of the box with neck problems. 1st one was missing a chunk of finish on the neck and 2nd also had finish issues on the neck (some spikes and dips and such) and headstock.
These were not the sellers fault but the manufacturers QC. I was probably unlucky enough to have 2/2 duds. My 1st get V7 i got from Thomann is fantastic, 0 issues, but the V8 made me hesitant to try another Sire at least for a while. Thomann was very fast and accommodating with the replacement and refunds. Amazing service

Wirklich toller Bass

Super Instrument!

Top Verarbeitung, sieht schön aus, liegt gut in der Hand, liefert einen flexiblen sowie starken Sound und lässt sich sehr gut bespielen.

Ich hatte ihn (den Bass...) zum Vergleich mit einem Sandberg und die Entscheidung ist mir verdammt schwer gefallen- was auch für den Sire V8 spricht, da er so etwas von nicht klar der "schlechtere" war, obwohl er sich mit einem etwas teureren Sandberg vergleichen lassen musste.

Da ich aber Rock, Hardrock und auch Metal spiele habe ich mich für den Sandberg entschieden, da er mir im härteren Segment, vom Sound her, einen Hauch besser gefallen hat. + Sieht man beim Marcus Miller (da der Korpus nicht deckend mit Farbe lackiert ist) die Stellen wo das Holz zusammengeleimt wurde. Zusätzlich haben mir die Plastikdrehknöpfe weniger gefallen. Das ist aber Kritik auf sehr hohen Niveau, den wie gearbeitet wurde ist einwandfrei.

Würde ich mehr Jazz oder Pop spielen bzw. mehr klassik Rock oder slappen, hätte ich mir sicher den Sire behalten.

Gerne habe ich ihn nicht wieder gehen lassen.

Unglaublicher Bass zu einem heftigen Preis!
Unter 1000€ habe ich noch keinen Bass mit so einer Qualität und so einem crispen Sound gespielt.
Fühlt sich super an und ist vielseitig einsetzbar.

Tror inte man kan hitta en bättre eller finare bas i detta prissegment. Underbar hals, i aktivt läge är pickuperna helt tysta och en preamp med enorma möjligheter.
