I've been dying to try something like the Black Beauty for a while, but being from a country where wages are extremely low, I've not been able to buy one. I discovered this snare on youtube and ever since I got it, it's ended up on every single drum recording I've done.

Amazing value for money, though I will say I expected it to stay in tune a little longer. I usually have to tighten the lugs a bit after about an hour of tracking, which ain't a deal breaker, but just something to keep in mind.

Absolut klasse aber mittelmäßige Felle/Teppich

Ich nutze die Snare hauptsächlich für Hardrock und Stoner. Dafür wurde sie gekauft. Sie macht aber in allen anderen Genres auch eine sehr gute Figur. Gestimmt ist sie auf 420 hz Reso, 275 hz Schlagfell, Felle sind Evans HeavyWeight und Evans 360. Das klingt richtig fett. Dämpfung nutze ich kaum da an der Snare kaum Störende Schwingungen auftreten.

Die Trommel selbst ist gut verarbeitet, lediglich Teppich und Felle (vor allem Reso) fand ich unterdurchschnittlich. (Deshalb Verarbeitung 3/5) Da sollte man beim Kauf noch etwas Budget einplanen.

Der Wiederverkaufswert von Ludwig Messingsnares ist sehr gut. Das gibt einem noch etwas Extrasicherheit. Meiner Meinung nach kann man mit der Snare nichts falsch machen.
