My Hofa Frames are really terrific...
Despite some other reviewers saying they are overpriced. I assure you they are very good value for money.
Extremely well made, sturdy and finished in a beautiful light satin finish.
They arrived from their long journey in very sturdy packaging.
These are a lovely addition to my studio to hold the hofa absorbers I purchased. I plan to buy some more.
Oh and they are also very easy to mount on the wall with quality fasteners and screws provided. Thanks Thomann!!

Works in Combination with other Absorbers

I got two of the frames in my room, each with an Eco Black and Hofa Diffusor. With the other self-made absorbers in 4 corners and 2 edges of the room, I am happy with the result. Depends on your room size, but probably one of these frames alone wouldn't do the trick yet, rather at least 2 or more plus other acoustic treatment.
Building quality is good, though the modules themselves could be a little bit heavier, to be able to absorb more room energy. You can see some dried glue where they put the wooden parts of the frames together, but that's not an issue for me.

I have 6 of these holding 12 diffusors. On some of them the back plate was not connected too wel, nothing that a bit of glue and an xtra skrew or 3 can fix, but it was not 100%. They are easy to hang, and with the hofa modules look very smart indeed.

Shoddy construction

Do not recommend these at all.

The quality of construction is poor; it appears there was no or poor inspection prior to packaging at the factory. The shipping packages were in good condition, it could only have been damaged before it was packaged at the factory.

I had to reattach all of the backing panels as they were not appropriately/poorly attached. I also had to glue two pieces of wood back in where the frame was cracked.

The absorption panels fit only very loosely in the frames and, even if hung on the walls, they fall out very easily, and need to be attached with glue or other means.

I would never recommend these…poor construction and definitely not worth the money.

I had a commercial recording studio in the US before moving to Portugal and have used a lot of sound treatment and studio gobos. These are the worst I ever have come across.

I do appreciate Thomann and the customer service provided…thank you.
