Hercules Stands DS630BB Alto /Tenor Sax Stand

I have the older model for alto/tenor which I use for tenor. My recently acquired alto fits like a glove onto this stand. The grip arms are a very nice feature. Very compact when it’s folded.
Hercules are great products.

The automatic grip system on this works really well.

The stand is really stable and can take a knock without any problems.

The only niggling problem I have with it is that the little hinged flap down the bottom has a tendency to fold inwards, meaning I often have to reach down and fold it back out when putting my sax away.

But for the rest a top stand.

I had the previous Hercules Alto/Tenor stand without the auto-grip mechanism (just a U-shaped foam lined bracket) and the saxophones wobbled on it.

But THIS ONE, with the auto-grip, this is exactly what I hoped Hercules would make. It's reliable and safe, with Hercules-quality construction; it folds neatly and is pleasantly portable. Can't imagine it being any better, this is the one.

The stand is folded to carrying out 5 stars .the stability is a little be movie very little, without the dangerous dropping the saxophone.

Great stand for sax.
Very small and easy to set up. Very stable - won't budge. Overall seems very sturdy, exactly what you'd look for in a stand.

No negatives whatsoever

I have a big bell old saxophone, so I wasn't sure if it was going to work, and to be honest it's on the edge a little bit, at the begining the bottom small rubber part was flipping, but with a wrench it's fine now. Its very sturdy, except a little bit of play on the arm holding the saxophone, but I think it might be by design, because it settles down quite well when I leave my tenor.

If you want a lifetime stand I'd get one of these, if possible try it with your sax before buying it.

Easy to use, like all the Hercules products. You can't go wrong with this one.

I would trust my life in a hercules stand if they had a human size.

The top part that holds onto the bell flips up when you take the sax so you have to flip it back down before putting the sax back.

The feet are not big enough for stabilization. And when you place a sax in the stand, the stand wobbles, which doesn't give a secure feeling.
