Strap knob for light weight instruments
I purchased these so as to be able to add a strap knob to my Thomann Guitarlele Standard. The strap knobs are well made and come well packed. The packaging is re-useable which is an added bonus since I only required one strap knob.
The Phillips head screws, that are provided with the strap knobs, are 3mm in diameter and rather short. For a ukulele style instrument or light acoustic guitar they will be fine. On a heavier instrument they would be insufficient.
To install the strap knob, drill a 2mm pilot hole to the appropriate depth. Make sure to drill straight! Lubricate the screw threads with some wax and then screw the strap button and leather washer to the instrument’s body. It is important to use the correct size Phillips screwdriver. Screw heads on these type of screws are notoriously soft and will easily strip if the wrong screwdriver is used.
Pros: Well made knobs, re-useable packaging
Cons: Short screws with Phillips heads. A hex head screw would be better.
In conclusion: An excellent value set of strap knobs for lighter instruments.

Not suitably strong
Drilled an S-type guitar from scratch. While the buttons were fine, the screws were too thin and short, and the felts were no good. The screw stripped within 24 hours, I got a more robust replacement as I wasn't confident repairing and using the HB screw. Strongly suggest to redesign product with a wider, longer screw and more substantial felt washer.

Works Fine
I had no problem with installing one of these on my acoustic guitar.
I used a bradawl, to make a small hole in the underside crook of the neck, and it screwed in ok.
The Strap Knob works fine, holds well.
Using this made the guitar way more playable than when using a strap tied around the top nut.

Strap knob
Its an ok vintage like strap knob set , I would prefer a bigger screw but they are ok , I would highly recommend to use them with the rubber locks because they are a bit small and the strap might slip

Perfect !
Great quality at an affordable price, as all Thomann accessories. This is one of the reasons why I like to shop at Thomanns, there's always bunch of little stuff that I need on daily basis as a working musician. I usually write down whatever comes to mind on a notepad, then when I'm ready to make a bigger purchase I add the notes.
Plus You get suggestions on the website, very useful.
Next time I will order a spare input jack for my electric guitar, you never know !

Perfect solution
It was the perfect solution for what I need.
Long live lasting, using that since 3 years now, and never a problem.

Excellent quality and a fair price
I have two guitars that need strap knob fitting to the neck as they both came with one fitted on the base of the guitar. Nicely machined and obviously strong as made of metal. They also include a piece of felt to act a washer/membrane to protect the wood of the guitar from the metal of the strap knob.

What more could you want?
It's a strap pin.
It pins your strap so you can stand up and face the world like the confident up-standing human that you are. Stop apologizing for your music. Stand up, and command attention!
Say "Days of sit down, I bid thee good day, Sir!" courtesy of a bare few millimeters of sturdy metal, and for a price that would confound even the thriftiest scientician.

Ok for home use
I bought these as I was sick of my strap falling off my guitar at home. If you are having the same annoyance than I would recommend a set. However, for the gigging or touring musician I would recommend something with perhaps a better construction. I found that they still felt a little loose at times and that they could fall off at any moment. They do look and feel like high quality but just did not sit well on my Telecaster. I would not knock them as they are somewhat reliable but only a little too specific for the purpose they carry.
