It is exactly what it should be
The plate fit my warmoth frankenstrat perfectly and it was aged perfectly. Not to much to say otherwise. It is a very simple product.

Great quality but not really relic’d
This neck plate is exactly what I’d expect from Gotoh—great quality, made in Japan, and built to last. The fit is perfect and everything lined up just as it should. No surprises there—Gotoh stuff is always rock solid.
That said, I was a bit let down by the “aged” finish. I expected some real patina—maybe a touch of rust or at least some honest wear that looked like it had seen a few decades of gigs. Instead, what I got was mostly just some light scuffing—something I could’ve done myself with my old plate and a Scotch-Brite pad.
So, yeah, a bit of a disappointment on that front. But as far as quality and function go, it’s top notch. Just don’t expect anything truly relic’d out of the box.
