A versatile and good looking instrument.

I tried the 347 and the '59 335, but the 1959 ES-355 has a certain feel maybe because of the ebony fingerboard and the build quality. The 355 has a certain twang for rhythm guitar and a beautiful clean dark sound for single notes. Mine was built in 2023 and had been in the case for two years, but played well out of the box. I am used to jazz guitars so I have installed a trapeze tailpiece instead of the stop tailpiece, it eased up the guitar and made it more lively. It is a very expensive, but versatile instrument – worth saving up to.
