Instant better snare
I finally bought this as my original snare wires did not "come through" enough. I confirm - this thing will give a cheap snare maximum amount of "boost" soundwise. Remember to change your drumheads, it's a must! New quality heads+this thing = much, much better sound. The price - if this thing was made out of gold for example, would it really matter soundwise? There are some snare wires that are much more expensive, but in reality I doubt it would make such and audible difference as the price suggests.
Negative: you might notice that the snare rattles now way more on the background, when others play their instruments. But that's what you wanted, right:)

Amazing!
Gibraltar have really nailed it on the head this time. If you're looking to completely transform the sound of your snare, then purchase this item! I was blown away by how much snap and volume these snare wires added to my mid range snare. I will be telling every drummer I know about these wires. Thanks Thomann!

Just what I needed
I was a little scared when I bought this. I mean, so much strands! But its just what I wanted. It makes your snare drum very sensitive, and fattens the sound.

Ultra Snare Sound!
I was looking for a snare wire that would give me a very crisp sound. My goal was to have a marching snare sound on my 14 inch millennium piccollo snare. I have an Evans hydraulic black head on top with the stock reso head on the bottom. I think this snare wire will sound even better once I upgrade the rest head. The 42 snare wires really give a nice crisp sound. Can't say enough good about it.

Nice on my Ludwig 14x6.5
Gives you a great sensitivity. The sound it has could be better but is quite ok.

Meh..not the best
Not the best wires I've worked with. Tho make them sizzle well they need to be quite loos. And than the resonas from the orchestra comes inn and disturbs

Great option for new tones
I use it on an old aluminium 14x6'5" snare drum and sounds amazing. Tune it low, muffled it up a bit and let the wires a bit loose and you'll get a really cool fat sound on your snare drum. You don't have to spend a lot to get some amazing new tones on your kit
