Sounds great, but watch out for the electrics...
I really like Squier guitars. Keen prices and decent quality. This just misses the mark for me, however...
Out of the box, it's set up nicely. Low action with no buzz. Some of the frets were a little sharp on the edges, but that's easily rectified if you're handy with a file. It looks lovely - a very handsome, classic looking sunburst. Unplugged it sounds good with a nice, rich tone. It's when you plug it in that is sounds less then great. The pick-up isn't the best and amplified, it sounded a little weak. In fact, the pickup cut out after an hour or two and a wire needed to be soldered back on. This might just be my bad luck. The built in tuner is OK, but not as accurate as a pedal or separate tuner.
This is nearly a great instrument, but if mine was anything to go by, it's just OK.
