Really impressed
Wasn't sure if I would like the pickups on the new American pro 2 P Bass after playing my Nate Mendel bass for ages but wow, was I wrong. From the first gig they just sound..right!
The Bass is so much lighter too so my shoulders are thanking me!!

Sometimes it has to be a P bass
This is the only Fender P bass I’ve ever owned apart from a Squier P bass. It is probably the only P bass I will ever own. I was expecting some neck dive because the Squier had some – this bass just sits there and doesn’t want to go anywhere. The finish is very attractive and I still love it six months from purchase. Having spent a couple of years faking a P bass sound with my Jazz bass it was a tremendous relief to get the real P bass sound (it’s not like the Jazz bass with the bridge P/U turned off!) and it’s my go-to bass for all rock music. It’s thru-strung, has the shaped neck socket and beautiful screwless (well – you can’t see any screws) tuners, high mass bridge and a killer sound. I wake up every day and thank God I own it.
