really dig these due to size. i find the grip works fine for me. do not seem to let them go. durability is also ok from my point of view though i usually have multiple going on at the same time. i think a few months at least. if using one constantly perhaps a lot shorter.

these are my picks (sometimes the H3, which is the same size). i find the jazz III on the back of these helps the grip (maybe it is subjective). i also use the 1.00 size at times with a different guitar.

Great picks, with a proven record
Anonymous 01.09.2016
I've recently tried these bad boys out, and so far i'm impressed.
I found the picks to be a tad small to begin with, but once you've gotten used to them, they feel great.

I play mostly metal, and i found these picks are good for both riffing and shredding.
I play a lot of fast stuff, and these picks have definitely improved my playing.

As i said, the picks are small, but once you've gotten used to it, they really feel great to play with.

Dunlops Jazz III's have a good reputation, and it's well deserved.

Amazing picks. I used to use the classic nylon jazz III picks but switched to these since the classic ones tended to slip from my fingers on stage. These provide better grip, though over time I've switched to the 0,88 version.

They don't last forever, but the durability is good enough in my opinion: they last me about a month each.

Great grip, great aggression
Devan 10.12.2019
One of the main techniques I use for my music are the galloping triplets and these picks are the best tool I could have to achieve them. These fat picks are perfect for >11 gauge strings.

Just be careful with them, do not confuse them with melee weapons!

alexlotta 17.10.2022
As title say :
I bought for that reason, very similar since specs are actually the same , 90% same stuff and feeling .I noticed a little difference ( as i'm comparing them side by side in that moment too ) that's why i wrote a review . Same specs and size but still a very little difference in sound .ORdered the white ones too to compare .

Not like Tortex White 1.14
Jackson99 19.06.2020
Somehow the Tortex Pitch Black and the H3 Tortex have a "thinner" sound comparing to the White 1.14mm despite all being 1.14mm. If you look at them Blacks seems sharper. I play whites so I tried those and they do the job but feel like I am cheating my wife...lol!

Awesome!!!
JoshV 12.12.2013
These picks are a combination of my two favorite picks: the tortex and jazz III. It has the grip and feel of the tortex combined with the sharp accuracy of the jazz III. I would recommend this to anyone as it is durable and good quality, but is quite small, being the jazz III's shape.

Jazz Tortex 1.14mm Plectrums
Alister 25.06.2014
I think these are my favourite plectrums. Thick enough to not be flexible, small enough to tuck into your hand easily if you need to use your fingers,. Nice Tortex material so they're non-slip. I sometimes put a blob of superglue where the tortoise is, and let it dry to give a nice grip, but it's not really necessary.

A
Slippery finish compared to white Tortex Jazz III.
Anonymous 30.05.2016
These picks are simply Jazz III tortex picks, however, if you play a lot of fast material, chances are that you will prefer the white version as this black version has a slippery finish. I've tried marking the surface with a knife to remedy this but it doesn't work; get the white version.

Jazz 3 with the tortex tone.
Glyn 14.05.2013
These are the tortex versions of the jazz 3. Although it keeps the same shape for accurate picking and the tone is much more cutting than the nylon and stiffo these suffer from the same problems of grip as the others do and can be a nightmare if you drop them on stage!
