Another "Dual" star from Doepfer

I'm a big fan of Doepfer's Dual modules (too many to list here). Generally, they are simple utility modules in a compact form factor but small knobs can make setting accurate values difficult (I prefer Pete Townshend's steering wheels).

The A-133-2 gives you 2 VC attenuverters so you can use it for true Amplitude Modulation, inverting, cross fading, scaling and so on. It's a many-trick pony.

Couple of things could improve it. A detent for top dead centre (either side of 0 reverses values), summing output, and more space. If it's fully patched, it's not easy to use or to repatch. I'm a studio modular chap, so space is not the same kind of problem as gigging wigglers have and I'm always disappointed when HP ends up being more important than usability.

For what it contains, it's really good value but I'd gladly spend a bit more to have full sized knobs and a bit more room between sockets.

The manual middle settings are not 'in the middle'

The centre point (0) of the manual knobs are not near the middle. They are at ~ +0.7. To rotate them visually 'in the middle', you need to use the dual light LED for that.

Dieses kleine Modul ist meiner Meinung nach eines der besten von Doepfer. Es fühlt sich sehr wertig an (deutlich besser als z.B. Make Noise) und bietet viele Anwendungs- und Modulationsmöglichkeiten. Insbesondere, dass das CV-Signal attenuiert bzw. verstärkt und selbst noch moduliert werden kann, gefällt mir sehr. Es ist in jedem Patch mit dabei und ich will ein zweites.
