The balance of these gauges are a little strange for me. 2nd and 4th string could be slightly smaller. First set i bought snapped 3 strings at the tuner side (due to locking tuner pressure). If you use locking tuners you would need to leave some room to do at least one wrap around the post on the thicker strings.

I used to play SIT strings wich i really liked. I played Ernie Ball for a long time untill these D'addario NYXL strings came to market. I switched to 8 string guitar and got these on recommendation by a friend and i never looked back. These strings sound full, play really well and last really long without any need for fastfrett or any kind of string conditioner. An absolute must buy.

As title stated, they sound great for the first month, but then they dull out quickly and after two months of playing semi regularly I wanted to change them.

So basically, I've stringed my guitar and hung her on the wall for like a month, strings got rusty and unstable without even playing my guitar...

These are possibly the best strings I have ever bought. They hold the tuning perfectly, and even after almost a year of use they sound almost like new, it's just amazing. But in terms of thickness, I would prefer 10-74.

Amazing strings, balanced gauge, cool sound, long lasts tone.

Great set, especially for multiscale.

the strings came all in one pack and the instructions were terrible because there was a color at the end of the strings but they were mostly the same color ....... lame

Over the years I've tried different brands, but I always go back to the good old D'Addarios. The NYXL series are even superb. I it is a long-term love relationship that has been going on for almost 30 years.

However, watch out - 80 gauge was too thick for my machine head :)
