What can i say? Does what it's supposed and it does it very well.
nicely balanced, sound just great to me. they have a nice clarity and a solid low end. they feel nice on the fingers, and last a pretty decent time. I was kinda surprised by how well they keep their clarity, most strings go dull after a few hours of playing. These have been on my bass for a week or 2 now and although they don't sound as bright as when they were fresh from the package (which is just normal) they're still much brighter than most strings after that amount of time.

I installed these strings on my Fender Jazz Bass. In the beginning, they sounded too bright for my taste. It is nothing you cannot solve with some equalization, though. As time passes, they lose brightness, and I prefer their sound when they have aged a little bit. The construction is solid and durable, as you can expect from D'Addario.

Good for D tuning
I bought this pack for my Peavey BXP-4, which is a 4 string, 34'' scale electric bass.
The tension is perfect for D standard tuning and I feel like Daddarios sound and feel fresh for longer than other brands, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't change them.
I recommend cleaning them with a microfiber cloth after every use. Cleaning products such as GHS Fast Fret will work wonders on bass strings too.

best strings
D'Addario XL strings are my favourite for guitar and bass. These last months and months (I don't play live, so don't worry too much about changing my strings), in fact I will probably never change these unless I damage them again adjusting the truss rod without moving them out of the way ;)
The price is great, and don't be fooled, they perform as well as strings costing twice as much or more. The sound is great, and bites through a band nicely. A high quality product.

Good and basic
I needed to change the strings on my new bass as they had factory strings that were not any good so I bought the EXL 160 and the are really good. Good price also.

Very satisfied
I use D'addario strings on my acoustic guitars and a mixture of Ernie Ball and D'addario on my electrics, but up until now, any budget strings on the 4-string, so I decided to invest in D'addario and see what sound improvement I could get. Being mainly a guitarist, my existing bass gets less attention than my guitars. My bass became a whole new instrument with these strings; tension is good and with these strings on, the bass is easy to play, especially to get that 'snap' on a slap'n'pull technique. The sound is bright, but not lacking in sweetness and these strings have given my, well, mediocre bass a whole new lease of life.

Really good
I found these strings to be a perfect mix between the heavier and lighter strings that I've tried out before. I have also found them to be pretty resistant to deadening or rusting due to finger sweat.

No brainer
I've been using this set of strings for 3 years and I loving them. It has a nice balanced sound. Change them after every 2 months but you could use it at least 3-4 mounts if you keep them clean.
