I have a 1939 York Recording Tuba. I was told that I needed an adapter to allow my mouthpieces to fit the old Tuba. I was told that this adapter would solve my problem. Well, it may fit an old German tuba but it does not fit a 1939 York.

Perfect for my Alexander Tuba

I have an 1950's Alexander 163 with the extremely big (Kaiser) mouthpiece receiver and this allows me to use an Euro shank mouthpiece without any tuning problems. A perfect fit!
