Boss SY-200 Guitar Synthesizer

Don’t like spending hours twisting dials and trying to find the right EQ. I was hoping for some Methenyesque lead tones but I think I’ll have to invest in the S-1000 for that.
Technically it’s a great device, tracks perfectly. Just not for me, and I shred so…

This is a great unit with no lag and perfect tracking. All without modding the guitar with a new pickup.

The sounds are plentiful and sound great. I whacked this into the effects loop of the Helix so I can easily position it anywhere in the chain. Lots of cool sounds to create!

I was very excited when this was announced as love synth guitar, but I didn’t enjoy the sounds on this at all.

To my ears, the synth voices are very thin and lofi sounding, and I couldn’t find any way to resolve this using the onboard settings.

I felt for the price of this unit it should offer more options for sound editing, so I decided to return it. This is a shame as the build quality is excellent, and I loved the way it looks.
