Made a mistake. Not even mad.
Truth be told, I thought I ordered a set of Aquila reds. I was surprised to find I only ordered a low-G string, since I'd already cut all four strings off of my new ukulele, and had no replacements.
I fixed my own mistake, and I'm not even mad about it. I've been using this low-G string with some other Aquila strings and the sound is brilliant. I find that having the extra range on the bottom end of the instrument is a huge bonus. Very happy purchase, just don't make the mistake I did

Mooie klank
Deze G-snaar geeft een mooi effect aan de ukulele, en laat deze meteen warmer en dieper klinken. De snaar voelt wat papier-achtig op het begin, maar dit went snel. Al bij al dus een mooie investering.

Aquila strings are always great, this is no exception, the low G adds a good amount of depth to the instrument.
In my case, I modified a concert uke, added this string pairing with the regular high G -- the instrument ended up with 5 strings: 3 single strings, and a doubled octave course of strings instead of the single 4th string.
No ragrets!

Low G makes huge difference
Changed that single string on my concert uke - what a difference it made! Feels like a new instrument now. Much richer sound, no question about it.

Bad luck?
I bought three of them. i i tried to use the two of them on a cascha carbon concert ukulele, and they both broke while attempting to tune them . The third one it still unpacked, as i am afraid to use it.
