Long lasting strings
I bought it to replace my steel strings on my Goodtime banjo.
I like the mellow sound they produce.
Unlike metal-coated strings, they do not become dull after several weeks, and there is no need to change them, which is a plus.

Lovely sound
I put them in my Goodtime open back banjo and they wouldn't fit in the nut or in the bridge and I had to replace the tailpiece in order to attach them. If you ask me absolutely worth it. I love the sound; it's not for everybody but it's great for clawhammer or old time music. I would absolutely recommend them.

Great OldTimey Tone
One Catch!! These strings sound great on decent quality banjos(tone ring wouldn't hurt). If you play a 100euro cheap banjo you will lose a bit of volume. you'll have to tighten up the head and maybe change the bridge to get some volume back.

Warm vintage sound
Though I prefer more bright Aquilla Red with my already mellow Remo black top, nylgut strings are safer to install, and they provide really nice warm sound. Hats off to Aquilla for everything they are doing, really.
