A great drum throne
After using the SPG-R4 for a couple of weeks, I tried sitting again on my old standard throne.
I couldn't (and still can't) understand how I've been sitting on that old throne for years! I think that says it all!
I doubt that I could go back now!

Solid and comfy ... with interesting instructions
After researching online, I opted for this stool and Thomann's price was the cheapest on the internet. It's arrived, and is very solid and comfy indeed. I'm glad I purchased it.
However, be prepared for the interesting instructions that come with it, that are replicated here exactly as is, with all original grammar, punctuation, spacing and phraseology ... and I've no idea what happened to the numbered instructions 2, 3 and 4!
1. To parallelly lock the brackets tightly and fasten or loosen the screw whenever you want to adjust the height of the shaft & the seat top.
PS: To lock them firmly always to prevent from damaging the inner thread of the bracket.
Up & down moving shaft will surely do harm to the bracket thread day by day gradually.
The function of the thread is designed only for height adjustment and is "not" to bear your weight.
So locking the bracket firmly all the time is the key way to prevent the shaft from moving up and down when playing drum or after height adjustment.
PS: To add a few lubrication inside seat top bracket would be much helpful to lock the bracket firmly and keep the shaft from moving (lock bracket tightly) at the same time when playing drum.
5. Be sure to use it on the hard and flat ground .Never use it on the foam mat or softwood flooring.
This will do harm to the structure of the brace-assembling and the thread of the bracket gradually.
6. The warranty does "not" cover the result from misuse, accident, improper maintenance by user.
7. Warranty is to be free from defects in material or workmanship for one year from selling date or 1.5 year from the manufacturing date.Be sure to keep this paper before warranty expired.(warranty void if you don't offer this paper )

Worth the money
This throne is very sturdy and very comfortable. A little heavy but that's a good thing. I feel like it will last for the rest of forever!
Pros: Built well. Sturdy. Looks awesome
Cons: Haven't found any

Great.
Does what it says on the tin, really.
It's very well padded so very comfy, I can strap an IEM pack to it and my band refer to the spinal gap thing as the Fart Canyon. Great stuff.
The only thing is that the 4 legged design means it takes up slightly more room behind the kit. If you're playing in tiny venues like I do, this can be a little issue. I'm really nitpicking here though.
