Good idea, but too high priced!
Are you a drummer tired of bringing around big, cumbersome stick bags full of beaters and mallets you won't even use for yet another time? Maybe you have noticed in your last gig you were using just 2-3 pairs of sticks and 1-2 specialty mallets? Well, Vic Firth has come with a solution for you: the Vic Firth VFESB Essential Stick Bag is a compact, thin & lightweight stick bag that comes with all the necessary features for the gigging drummer. It has 2 main compartments that can accomodate up to 5 pairs of assorted sticks and mallets, plus one very handy slot for tuning key and one extra pocket for storing small pieces. It comes with 2 floor tom lug attachments easy to set up and unmount and a little handle for transport. The whole bag is compact enough to fit in most backpacks, also. This said, the only con of the product is represented by the price, definitely too high for such an amount of material: the only thing we can hope is that other manufacturers put similar items on the market at more affordable prices.

Excellent for your ocassional gig
It can carry up to 4 pairs of drumsticks, its easy to mount on the floor tom (I've found that the straps are a little bit to large but still easy to mount). The quality is good and the size is perfect to fit in any case or bag.

Portable, Practical and Rugged
My first impression: It is not as small as I expected after looking at its picture.
Nonetheless, compared to other portable stick bags, I found it to be most practical one. It at ease carries 5 pairs ( I keep Vic firth 5A Hingestix, VF 7A, VF Kidstick, Pro-mark 5B and Pro-mark 7BN) of sticks. Also there is a webbed slot for keeping Earplugs (fits my in-ears perfectly). As drummers we need to carry a key all the time and this bag does provide a elastic loop inside where you can tuck the key. I tried my Evan's Torque drum key which fits with a little adjustment of the sticks for easy closing of the bag. You can use it as a replacement of Stick caddy since it feature 2 slings on opening the bag which you can use to hand the stick bag to Toms. For its price, quality seems great and would easily last for years. I would highly recommend it if you're planning to travel often with sticks over even if you plan to use it at home like a Stick Caddy.

Drummers from all around the world know "Vic Firth" and therefore it is no surprise there. Always producing quality drum sticks and accessories like this stick bag. It's very well made it holds up to 4 pairs of sticks and drum key. It's really simple and this is what you would expect from stick bag. IF you wonder what size of drum sticks it can fit the answer is...Any. I have: Schneider signature sticks/ Thomas Lang/ 5B/ and extreme 5BN, so they are really thick and long drum sticks and this bag fits perfect. It's a must have of every drummer!

Vic Firth essential Stick Bag
It is exactly what I hoped for - a sturdy, silky black canvas big with a good quality all-round zip. Two canvas ribbons have hooks to attach the bag easily to my tom-tom lugs, lleaving me within perfect reach of what I need - two pairs of sticks, my Flix brushes and a pair of felt beaters. There is also a loop for hand-carrying, and the Vic Firth red and white logo is cool on the outside. Dropping a stick, or changing implements mid-tune is now no problem. Good value!

Great little stick bag.
I waited so long for a product like this. You can easily grab 4-5 pairs of sticks and go playing. It is compact, well built and durable.

Very Practical Vic Firth VFESB Essential Stick Bag
Very practical, i can carry 4 Pair of Sticks that is 8 Sticks in this Vic Firth VFESB Essential Stick Bag.

Vic Essential Stick Bag
You can put up to 3-4 pairs depending on the type of sticks. its very handy. For any event like a rehearsal or a concert. I find it great to have just what you need nicly put away rather then the huge big bag with 10 pairs of sticks that you don't really need for an event. Really practical, A great pick for all drummers who move a lot or travel !!!
