Powerful bass in a lightweight design

The Sennheiser HD 660S2 over-ear headphones, which feature 38mm dynamic drivers and an open-back design for minimal resonance, are the go-to choice for all audiophiles who are looking for state-of-the-art high-fidelity headphones with a warm, natural sound signature. The headphones come in an elegant black design and excel with an extended sub-bass response, which allows a wider low-frequency range to be covered compared to Sennheiser's benchmark HD 660S model and the listening experience to be further enhanced throughout the sub-bass and down to an ultra-low 8Hz.

Distortion-free hi-fi sound

The HD 660S2 headphones, which are manufactured in Ireland, feature Sennheiser's unique vented magnet system that allows a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 104dB to be reached and unwanted signal distortion to be effectively minimised during audio reproduction – resulting in a near-zero total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 0.04%. What is more, the HD 660S2 model is specially designed to provide superior comfort, and ensures countless hours of listening pleasure thanks to its ultra-soft velour earpads and a low weight of just 260g.

Extended treble for audiophiles

Alongside an engaging bass definition, the Sennheiser HD 660S2 headphones also boast an extremely bright treble response that allows audio enthusiasts to enjoy crystal-clear highs reaching up to an impressive 41.5kHz. The overall impedance of 300 ohms is characteristic of hi-fi headphones and requires a correspondingly powerful headphone preamp to be connected so as to harness the HD 660S2's full potential and produce a clearer sound with a higher resolution than many other headphones that feature a significantly lower impedance. Thanks to their perfectly balanced combination of high-end functions and an open design, the Sennheiser HD 660S2 headphones are sure to win over music lovers and audiophiles alike. They are just the next logical step for all fans of Sennheiser's HD 660S, HD 580, HD 600, or HD 650 models who want to take their listening experience to a completely new level.

About Sennheiser

In June 1945, Prof. Fritz Sennheiser founded the Wennebostel Laboratory, which initially produced measuring equipment. Commissioned by Siemens in 1945, the young company developed the MD-1 microphone, which was launched in 1946. After the development of further microphones, the company was renamed Sennheiser Electronic in 1958. Two years later, Sennheiser introduced the MD 421 dynamic microphone, which is still in production today and still held in high esteem by many sound engineers. Further groundbreaking developments, such as the HD 414 headphones and the MD 441 microphone classic, hugely enhanced the company's international reputation, eventually making Sennheiser one of the leading manufacturers of microphone and headphone systems in the world.

Versatile connection options

The wired Sennheiser HD 660S2 headphones feature dual-sided cable routing, which allows the cable's weight to be evenly distributed between the two earcups and the cord to be comfortably worn centrally in front of the body. The included detachable dual-sided cable with a length of 180cm and a 6.35mm unbalanced stereo jack plug for connecting the headphones to a preamp offers users sufficient freedom of movement for walking or lounging around in their audio room and enjoying unspoiled hi-fi sound without the cord being unintentionally pulled. The scope of delivery of the HD 660S2 also includes an additional 180cm cable with a 4.4mm balanced stereo jack plug for connecting the headphones to a high-end headphone amp, a 6.35mm to 3.5mm stereo jack adapter for versatile use with mobile preamps, and a carrying pouch that helps protect the headphones from dust.

The king is dead - long live the king!
