Makes a difference.
Before I got one I searched the web for user reviews on it. There were a few and most of them were kinda like "I can't tell the difference between Sony one and Rycote one". There's a huge difference, tho not very noticeable at first. Rycote windjammer limits all the wind frequencies to lower freq and from their they can be easily scooped out. The one that comes Sony PCM D100 allows wind to travel further more the freq spectrum which makes it really annoying. I tasted both of them on a windy they in a costal town. If you ever gonna face stronger winds Rycote is a no-brainer

perfect windjammer for soft to moderate wind
I'm a field recordist and I have several recorders. The sony pcm d100 is amongst my favorites. I take it with me when I need a small kit, or for on the fly recordings.
Since I do record mostly outside, I need a windjammer. The rycote windjammer for the D100 sounds slightly better than the sony windjammer that comes with the recorder. A bit better protection and a little less HF loss.
It performs well in soft or light moderate windspeeds. If the wind picks up more, I need to either put a Low pass on the recordings, or move the recorder to somwhere where it is more in the wind shadow. Only in more heavy wind, I need to resort to bigger windjammers.
This is an excellent accompanyment for my Sony D100. I can now just take it with me anywere I go, and with this windjammer I can record in all moderate weather conditions. Very happy with this windjammer.

Working Well
Tested it in windy places and its better than average. It doesn't cover up the sound tone . It's effect is barely noticeable.
