Bought this Gretsch cause i wanted something different, but didn't want to spend a fortune. And I'm glad i did.

Looks absolutely stunning. The vintage white finish together with the tortoise pickguard looks classy.

Sound is good. Not your typical les paul sound, it's voiced uh... different i guess.
Probably due to the Broad'tron humbuckers. I like 'em.
Tuners do the job ok. Maybe i will change them for grovers in the future, but they keep the guitar in tune and that's what they are meant to do.
The neck is stated a thin U. And thats exactly what it is. No flat neck, but certainly not a thick one. Feels comfortable.
Intonation was spot on. Action was a bit on the high side for my liking, so i adjusted it.
Nut is simple, but cut properly.
Plays like a guitar from a higher price range. And it says Gretsch on the headstock :)

Is everything perfect? No, but for this kind of money you can't expect that.

The frets are ok, but the edges were a little bit sharp. Did a bit a sanding and now they are perfect.
The wraparound compensated bridge was mounted a bit sloppy. A few screwdriver marks were made on the screws holding the bridge, and it made the finish come of a bit on the bridge itself.
The volumepot has a strange range. So i opened the cavity to see what was wrong. The capacitor on the (very small) pot was making contact with an earth wire. I bent it away a little bit and problem solved. I will have these changed for fullsize pots sometime later.
The inspection tag had a different serial number than the serial number on the guitar. Not a big deal, but a bit strange.
Guitar has a couple of minor finish flaws on the headstock and a very small dent in the edge of the body. Barely noticeable though.

Good guitar with room for some improvement. With some simple upgrades it can be great.

Amazing

I wanted to see how good instrument can Gretsch make in this price range. Usually they make high quality products with higher prices than budget guitars.

I didn't know what to expect. As I unboxed it, I'm so glad that I ordered it.
It's nicely done. Doesn't feel cheap at all. Harley Benton, the king of budget guitars, has some competition.

Intonation is spot on, action is perfect. It doesn't need any setup. Just plug in and play. Also I like the sound of pickups. They are somewhat mellow but sturdy sounding. Good with distortion and clean tone.
Those, who seek high treble sounds, look somewhere else.
Has great sustain.
It's simple and does it's job just right.

And the vintage look is just awesome.
Some say that looks doesn't matter, but I want to feel confident and proud of my equiptment when I go in front of a crowd.

PS! Suggested Gator case under the description does not match the guitar exactly. You have to squeeze it in.

All in all a decent guitar, but the monolithic bridge that doesn't have the possibility to intonate individual strings has pushed me towards selling it off. Screws on the sides of the bridge allow for some intonation, but no matter what I did, the G string always sounded quite a bit off on the 12th fret. If you want a cheap Gretsch and are ready to invest some time in fixing this potential issue, then I guess, I would recommend it.
