Gewa Floor Protection Double Bass

I bought this floor protector for my bass, hoping that it would be somewhat sturdy and functional even though the low price. Thing is, it didn't. And for the price, I didn't expect much except that it would at least be able to balance my bass, but that was not possible. It kept bending under the weight under my bass and was impossible to use as it was intended. I understand that for the price you maybe shouldn't expect as much but I highly recommend that you buy something else.

This is may be a bit unfair, but this piece didn't work with either of my upright basses, so make sure you can use it before you buy it.

I have an older upright from the 30's and it has a small bulge at the tip of the endpin. This bulge made it impossible to put the rubber piece properly in place. instead, it bent and broke.
The other bass is a cheap chinese made plywood bass, and after on gig outdoors, the rubber piece was stuck in the ground and remained there when I moved the bass... so no, this was not for me.

Absolutely worthless, it broke after 30 mins of playing. The "weight" of my Chinese multiplex bass just snapped the thing.

Bought this to use on one of my older thomann basses. Took a while to get it properly installed, which should be donne in a few seconds. Survived 2 gigs and broke in half.

Does exactly as you would expect. Good tough material and provides excellent grip and protection for wooden floors. It feels tougher than the one that came equipped on my double bass so using this one with no complaints so far.

Fits spike ok, but bends under the weight of the bass so it's unusable really.

Got This for My"Double Bass" The Rubber quality is very good (Tough and Hard wearing) But It does take a bit of time to get it set up for your"End pin"( Doesnt fit all Floor standing Stringed instruments Cello, Kontrabass etc without some sort of adjustment) it has a little"Metal "Ball piece insert which i found quiet awkward I removed it and put a softer bonding tape on the very end of My End Pin and it works perfectly now Holds and grips the floor for the Instruments heavy weight

Nice protection for practicing in a wooden floor, however if you use it outside or on concret floors it gets worn very fast.

This is a good job but you need to be careful that it fits your spike! I had to make an adjustment to my spike for this to fit. A better option would be the adjustable "Wolf Super Endpin" if you're unsure.
