Good mouthpiece for high register playing
Karry 12.12.2019
I use this for playing in the high register and to cut over the band when I play in a big band.

The mouthpiece is well built feels great on the lips and is very easy to play, the cup is not too small but gives you an easier time playing in the upper register. As it's not too small, you don't need to significantly adapt your embouchure unlike with some other highly specialised upper register mouthpieces.

It does sound brilliant and may not be right for you if you're looking for something darker in your sound. Though this could be great if you have a dark sound and need to be more brilliant on a gig.

The lower register suffers slightly but this is a necessary compromise to allow for a brighter and easier upper register. it can be difficult to get the volume and accuracy on the lower register especially below middle C. With pedal tones being difficult to produce reliably.

This is a great mouthpiece for anyone looking to get a mouthpiece for higher register playing, it definitely makes the notes easier to play and gives you a more brilliant sound it you're looking to cut through a band. However, bear in mind that it is a specialist mouthpiece and may not be suitable if you're looking for a 'one size fits all' mouthpiece for your playing

I love this mouthpiece. Despite being seen as a very shallow mouthpiece, I actually find it very easy to play with a full sound in both the low and high register and encounter no issues with response. It's quite possible to play with quite a warm sound on this mouthpiece, but it opens up beautifully in the high register too, so I find it to be very flexible.

Ordentliches Lead-Mundstück
Anonymous 22.12.2015
