Good protection, but at a price
Razvan L. 29.02.2016
I was very surprised that though this gigbag is designed especially for the Sub Phatty I had a tough time fitting my synth in it. The gigbag is tailored to the millimeter and does not have any spare room - and the materials don't loosen up in time - so every time I wanted to put my synth in it I was in for a little effort. But I did like the spacious extra pocket, the extra thick padding, especially in the knobs region and the secret inside space (for cables and accessories). The handles are nice and soft but though the shoulder strap is of good quality it doesn't sit confortably on your shoulder because of the strap's anchor points positioning. All in all I would say that this gigbag offers great protection without adding to much weight, but it's not as convenient as I would like it to be for how much it costs (too much).

Could be better

Practical - it is light and easy to carry, fits the Sub Phatty well with plenty of space for cables etc. Well padded, except for the corners and here lies the problem.

The sharp rear bottom edges of the Sub Phatty push into the unpadded corners of the bag where it is stitched together . Every time I put the thing down a wince-inspiring hard knock on the instrument which has now (after 6 months of not-so-hard use) actually worn through the seam on both corners exposing the edges of the Sub.

Something more discrete than the large white "Please steal this bag" logo would also be a good idea perhaps.

Hard to find an alternative which doesn't weigh a ton though.

Decent bag

This is a decent bag for the Sub Phatty - Not the highest quality but it does the job.

As others have described the fit for the synth is quite odd - you have to pretty much flip the synth upside down to put it inside. Once figured out the fit is very snug.

Quality is decent - I wouldn't say this feels super padded or heavy duty but adequate for transporting on occasional journeys.

For true road worthiness I would recommend a flight case. For an amateur user this fits this bill.

Ok for the purpose
Zaggy 19.07.2018
Fulfills its purpose appropriately. It might be a bit difficult to fit the synth at first, but after one finds the right position, it becomes intuitive. I mostly use it to carry the Sub Phatty to rehearsals and gigs and after three and a half year it is still in decent condition. One of the extra pocket's zipper sliders broke, but other than that, no complaints.
