A budget-friendly practice pad

The True Stroke Pad from Millenium is a single-sided 12" practice pad for drummers of all persuasions. The pad helps to strengthen the hand, finger, and arm muscles and is ideal for practising fundamentals and for warming up. It also offers a comfortable playing feel and a medium-hard rebound (rebound strokes occur when the player lets the stick bounce back up to the ready position). The pad additionally impresses thanks to its high level of manufacturing quality and affordable price.

Millenium 12" True Stroke Practice Pad

An octagon for drummers

The Millenium True Stroke Pad is octagonal in shape and features a playing surface that is approximately 6mm thick and made of high-quality rubber, which is applied to a brown lacquered wood fibreboard backing that has a non-slip coating on the underside. The underside of the pad also features an 8mm thread in the centre for easy mounting on standard cymbal stands. Thanks to the rubber playing surface, the impact noise is clearly audible. At the same time, however, the noise is not excessively loud, making the pad suitable for use in rented accommodation as well.

Underside of the Millenium 12" True Stroke Practice Pad

Ideal for regular practice

It is no secret that good technique requires regular and intensive practice. The True Stroke Pad from Millenium is therefore ideal for all drummers who want to improve their technical skills by increasing playing control, refining stroke intensity and sensitivity, and building endurance. It can also help players to enhance their range of playing speeds, and it is ideal for practising rudiments or warming up before a session as well. For drummers looking for a comfortable rubber pad, the True Stroke Pad from Millenium is an inexpensive alternative to more expensive branded products.

About Millenium

Millenium is one of Thomann’s in-house brands and has been an integral part of the store’s range since 1995. More than 800 products – from drums and percussion through to accessories such as microphone stands, racks, and recording workstations – bear the Millenium label. These products are made by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. Since they are imported directly from the factory without any further distributors or sales companies, they can be sold at particularly attractive prices. Incidentally, one in every four Thomann customers has already purchased at least one Millenium product.

Practise anywhere

The 12" True Stroke Pad from Millenium can be easily mounted on a snare stand for practising in rehearsal rooms. The advantage of such stands is that they are usually height-adjustable so that the most comfortable playing position can be found. Another option is to use the thread on the underside of the pad to mount it on a cymbal stand. When travelling, the True Stroke Pad can be placed on any solid surface, where its coated underside will ensure that the pad stays firmly in position while playing.

Great Product for a very good price

I have a small school for Drum Lesson and I had ordered the practice pad for my students as well. I was surprised when I opened the box, it looks very good and the rubber and wooden board looks great. Also my students are very happy receiving their practice pad. The rebound is great and feels good, really great feel on the rubber, also looks neat. The only thing I've noticed about it, its quite heavy than other practice pad, maybe because of the board. But all in all, I highly recommend it, Great product for a very good price.

Great Overall, a Little bit too rebound.
w4term4n12 21.07.2019
Quite great overall. Used for around 5 months so far and everything seems to be at the same quality that I received it as.

Pros:
Very good quality. Wood is smooth and rubber doesn't tear.
Sound is not very loud, not like other pads where you hear a loud smack.

Cons:
Rubber rebounds a little bit too much so going onto a snare drum makes it feel like I'm not hitting hard enough.

There's not a whole lot to say about practice pads.
The main question is: Does it bounce?
Yes, it do the bounce.
The rebound feel is great, I use it almost every day and my hand technique has improved a lot since I've started practicing with it.
It's solid, nice looking, fits on a snare stand, has a thread for screwing it onto something. What more could you ask of a practice pad?
I recommend this one, go get it!
